20世纪80年代，随着乡镇经济的崛起和城镇化的发展，乡镇图书馆应运而生。乡镇图书馆作为乡村的重要文化阵地，为广大农民提供文化服务，助力乡村文化的振兴提供了精神动力和智力支持。目前，乡镇图书馆发展仍面临部分人员认识不到位、资源结构不合理、专业人才缺乏、多元化服务不足等问题，应通过完善顶层设计、建立健全馆内各项规章制度、发挥总分馆制功能作用、走文旅融合之路、提供精准服务、加强数字资源建设、挖掘传承特色乡村文化、强化人才引进等措施与路径，更好地促进乡镇图书馆发展，助力乡村文化振兴。

In the 1980s, with the rise of the town economy and the development of urbanization, the town libraries came into being. As important places spreading knowledge and culture in the countryside, the town libraries offer cultural service to the farmers and provide the spiritual power and intellectual support for the revitalization of rural culture. However, the development of town libraries is still encountered with such difficulties as some personnel's incomplete recognition of the libraries' function, unreasonable resource structure, shortage of professional personnel, insufficient diversified service. To enhance the development of town libraries and better promote rural culture revitalization, it is desirable to perfect the toplevel design as well as the library rules and regulations, give full play to the function of the generalbranch library system, integrate the cultural development with the tourism development, provide the precise service, strengthen the construction of digital resources, excavate and inherit unique rural culture, attract more talents, etc.
