Abstract

When the 100th anniversary of library science professional education in China,the paper collects the relevant historical documents,makes a comparative study for early library science education in China and the United States including the faculty setting,curriculum content,as well as the students requirement.By analyzing both common and different points,this paper points out the early education of library science of China was from the library science education of the United States,in the hope of studying library science disciplines properties and future development in China.
