This article investigates the current situation of cultivating children's librarians in China, points out that there are problems in the cultivating children's librarians in China, such as vague training objectives, lack of training models and incomplete guarantee measures. It proposes the key points and strategies for constructing a cultivating mechanism for children's librarians, which is to clarify the training objectives based on the abilities of librarians, and to construct a training model based on principles, systems and forms, to continuously improve support and guarantee measures.
