Abstract The theory of embodied learning holds that the cognitive efficiency of learning is closely related to the learners' body, environment and technology. The construction of embodied learning environment is conducive to promoting learners' immersion learning, the interaction between learners and the environment, strengthening the cooperation between learners, and improving learning effectiveness. The VR laboratory of the library of North Carolina State University and the library of Health Sciences of Washington University are successful cases of the library's space reconstruction based on personal learning, which provides ideas for the transformation and upgrading of the learning space of Chinese libraries facing the modernization of higher education.
