Through network surveys and literature research, this paper sorts out the main contents and characteristic practices of public libraries serving leftbehind children. This paper summarizes the problems from the perspective of service subject, method, content and continuity, and proposes optimization strategies of children's reading services in public libraries, such as establishing a scientific and longterm cooperation mechanism, carrying out precise services that meet the needs, providing rich and diverse content research, and creating a sustainable and dynamic reading brand.
