The article uses methods of literature research and online questionnaire survey to investigate the current situation of smart library construction in 33 libraries across the country from six dimensions of toplevel design, technology, resources, services, management and standards, and summarizes the current situation and service characteristics of smart library construction in China. It summarizes the difficulties faced by the construction of smart libraries in China in service, organization, security, talent, and operation, and proposes suggestions for the construction strategies of smart libraries in China, including adhering to scenario empowerment, emphasizing optimization of layout, emphasizing longterm development, improving dynamic evaluation, and improving operational mechanisms.
