The article investigates and analyses the current situation of health information services in Japanese public libraries. It points out that Japanese public libraries providing health information resources, health information navigation, health support space, health information consultation, health activity projects, and other service contents based on age, disease, and gender segmentation of service objects. It also proposes inspirations for health information services in Chinese public libraries, establishing a navigation system for health information resources, leveraging the value of library space services, seeking multiple cooperation, and paying attention to the health needs of vulnerable groups.
