Abstract：Through literature research, case analysis and other research methods, this paper investigates the digital literacy education situation of 18 foreign university libraries from four aspects: digital literacy framework, digital literacy education form, digital literacy education content and digital literacy service. According to the survey, the digital literacy education in foreign university library shows the characteristics of multiple subjects implementation, emphasizing librarian training; education methods fit the characteristics of users, embedded in the whole process of academic research; education content is digital and open, emphasizing fairness, respecting privacy and data security. It proposes the enlightenment of the digital literacy education development in university library in China: constructing a localized and regional digital literacy framework suitable for the university, strengthening the construction of digital literacy education platform, paying attention to the cultivation of librarians' digital literacy, enriching the forms of digital literacy education with different educational subjects, improving the digital literacy curriculum system, and paying attention to the development of digital literacy education cooperation and publicity of library digital literacy education.
