Abstract:The overall progress of economy, society and technology is promoting the rapid development of universe education, which shows strong characteristics of openness, selforganization and interaction. The trend of education towards integration, sharing and ubiquity and the wide application of new technologies such as internet, artificial intelligence and big data provide a good social foundation and technical conditions for the innovation and development of social education in libraries. The new characteristics of educational development promote the profound adjustment of the orientation, goal, elements and management of the social education of library. In the new era, empowering the resources, space and services of library is the basic way for the development of library social education; the central task of the development of library social education is to realize the ubiquitous connection between the internal resources of libraries, libraries and external institutions, libraries and learners; it is the prospective mission of the development of the social education of library to push the multiple transcendence of library, learners and social education.
